Parent Involvement Briefings
Any parent wishing to participate in activities at school must first attend a Parent Involvement Briefing.
Workshops are held several times a term, and last for approximately 45 minutes. Workshops are held both during the day and at night.
Parent Involvement Briefings will cover topics such as:
- Working with children
- WHS issues
- Privacy Legislation
- Child Protection issues
- Working with staff
All required forms will be distributed on the night. For upcoming dates, please see the parent calendar. To RSVP to attend a briefing, please contact Reception on 9450 1311.
Helping in the classroom
There are a number of ways parents can help in the classroom at school, including reading and literacy programs, the Uniform Shop, excursions, camps, and Sports events.
To volunteer, please contact your child’s class teacher or the School Office.
Class Parents play an important role within our school community. New parents to NBCS are encouraged to make contact with their class parent to assist with settling in and getting to know the other parents from your child’s grade.
In Primary, Class Parents assist class teachers and communicate with parents.
In Secondary, Class Parents coordinate community-building social events for parents of their grade, and also assist with communication.
Parents/Guardians should contact the School Office if they are interested in becoming involved, or are unsure of their Class Parent’s details.
