SUMMARY:Primary Co-Curricular Basketball Teams
DESCRIPTION:NBCS enters teams into the Manly Warringah Basketball Competition at NBISC (Warriewood). These competitions run on various afternoons\, depending on age groups\, and will run for an entire semester. Parents are required to transport their child to and from the competition\, and also to nominate a parent manager for their team. Students will train at NBCS one morning a week from 7:30am-8:30am (day TBC) with a designated coach. \nIf you would like your child to be considered in one of these teams\, please email lmallard@nbcs.nsw.edu.au to express interest. These teams are decided at the end of the semester to play in the following semester competitions.

SUMMARY:Secondary Manly Warringah Basketball Competition
DESCRIPTION:This competition is run over two semesters. Each team has an assigned qualified coach and parent team manager. \nSemester 1 – February to June\nSemester 2 – July to Early December. \nDetailed information will be emailed to all families at NBCS in Years 7-11 in late November 2024 with everything they need to know for the 2025 competition. \nMWBA Draw\nNBCS Teams \n______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\nNB\nAll players must be registered with MWBA. Please register on the MWBA Website\, by clicking on the MEMBERS AREA\, orange box located in the top right-hand corner. \nInsurance is to be paid through your registration on their website or you can call them on 9913 3622. Insurance is $120 and valid for 12 months from the payment date. \nTeam cost is $460 per semester which covers the competition entry fee\, coaching at school and the game\, equipment and administration costs. This is added to your Term 2 and 3 Ancillary Fees. \nPlayers require an NBCS uniform: shorts $40 and reversible singlet $53. This will be organised through the NBCS Sports Office when your child first joins. Should you require a new uniform at any time\, please email secondarysport@nbcs.nsw.edu.au. \nAny changes to teams between semester competitions will be at the discretion of the coach. \nPlease read through the NBCS Sport Code Of Conduct before representing our school at any level.

DESCRIPTION:In Term 2 we will be offering a variety of sports here at school students can participate  in including Yoga\, Strength and Conditioning in our school gym\, Bushwalking in the surrounding National Park trails and MTB. Students will have the opportunity to head offsite to play multi-racquet sports\, golf\, participate in non-contact boxing or Tennis/Pickle Ball\, improve their basketball skills and match fitness in our basketball academy\, try trampolining as well as skateboarding or scootering! \nTerm 2 Sport Choices are emailed to parents in Week 5 of Term 1. \nWAIVERS\nFor those selecting Trampolining\, you must complete the Aussie Gems Waiver before the first session.\nFor those selecting Rock Climbing\, you are required to complete the Rock House Waiver before the first session.\nFor those selecting Equestrian\, you are required to complete the NBCS & MC Equestrian Form 2 weeks before the sessions commence. \nYear 7 & 8 Sports for Term 2\, 2026 can be found on your COMPASS Newsfeed from 3pm Thursday 12 March. \nThursday sport for Year 7/8 starts on Thursday 23 April 2026\, every Week A.\nYear 7 & 8 Thursday Sport – All you need to know!  \nYear 9 & 10 Sports for Term 2\, 2026 can be found on your COMPASS Newsfeed from 3pm Thursday 12 March. \nThursday sport for Year 9/10 starts on Thursday 30 April 2026\, every Week B.\nYear 9 & 10 Thursday Sport – All you need to know!
