Primary Grandparents & Special Friends Day
Thu 19th May, 2022
Grandparents & Special Friends Day
Thursday 19 May
Dear Primary Parents/Guardians,
Primary students are extremely excited to be hosting their grandparents and special friends on Thursday 19 May, and we would love to have a guest attending for every child. If a grandparent is unable to be present, an aunt, uncle, older sibling or special friend is very welcome to attend.
Please complete the linked RSVP Form by Friday 13 May to indicate the number of guests attending, including any mobility issues. This will facilitate smooth parking arrangements and enable us to provide you with helpful parking information. (Please complete one form per family, which includes all grandparents.)
On the day, students will interact with their grandparents and friends in their learning spaces in a variety of ways. The eldest Primary sibling will be required to greet their special guests and act as a tour guide throughout the morning.
Students are required to pack a special morning tea to share with their special guest/s. We suggest that the students find out some of their favourite snack foods.
Details are as follows:
9:00 – 9:45am – ARRIVAL
Grandparents and special guests sign in outside Main Reception, where staff will be there to assist using a QR code and walk down to the Cafe area.

11:25am – MAIN RECEPTION Eldest sibling to walk their special guest up to Main Reception to say goodbye.
11:30am – DEPARTURE Special guests depart.
During this special day, there will be a Book Stall in the Canyon where grandparents or friends may, if they choose, purchase a book to be donated to the school Library. The child’s name will be recorded in the front of the book on a special label. Books may also be purchased for students to take home.
Staff and students are looking forward to this wonderful event!
Kind regards,
