NBCS was delighted to receive the HSC results for our 2025 cohort this week. Our outstanding HSC achievers included Max Humphries who achieved the highest ATAR of 98.20, closely followed by 2025 Dux Maya Koch with 97.65.
A total of 19% of NBCS graduates achieved an ATAR of 90 or above. 53 students were listed on the HSC Distinguished Achievers list for achieving at least one Band 6 result, and six students achieved Band 6 results in four or more courses.
Head of Secondary, Drew Dickson is delighted with the results. “We proudly celebrate the Class of 2025, not only for their HSC achievements but for the countless ways they have enriched our school community. As they step into the next chapter, each student goes with our blessing and prayers for a future filled with purpose, possibility, and promise.”
In a first for Northern Beaches Christian School, all six HSC Textiles and Design students were nominated for the SHAPE Showcase in 2025. Textiles teacher Mrs Gray said that while she has had a student nominated every year for a decade, “this class is arguably the most successful Textiles cohort.”
Student Brianna Laforest has had her Textiles major work selected for inclusion in TexStyle 2026, a prestigious exhibition curated by the Technology Educators Association.
In total, the NBCS 2025 HSC cohort achieved 21 nominations for 23 students across 5 courses, with English Extension 2 student Julia Pearce selected for the Young Writers Showcase for her creative non-fiction, and Music 2 student Arque Dang selected for ENCORE for his musicology essay.
Principal Tim Watson says, “We celebrate the success of Year 12 2025. We congratulate them for their growth, and their care for each other. We know that their learning, effort, and character will propel them towards big, open horizons.”
