A highlight of Term 2 is the Annual Stage 3 Visual Arts Exhibition, which celebrates the incredible creativity of our Year 5-6 students.
This year, inspired by artists like Georgia O’Keeffe, Margaret Preston, Jeffrey Smart, Gloria Petyarre, and Amedeo Modigliani, students explored a range of materials to develop their skills in both 2D and 3D art. The result was a vibrant and diverse collection of work that reflected the individual style of each student and the impact of our specialist teaching of art.
More than 200 parents and friends came along to celebrate the students’ achievements. Well done to all our young artists, and congratulations to our award winners:
- Year 5 awards – self-portraits: Winner: Kim; Highly Commended: Gabe and Collette; Packing Room prize: Emily
- Year 6 awards – urban landscapes: Winner: Toby; Highly Commended: Ronan and Samuel; Packing Room prize: Charlie
- The People’s Choice award, which was voted on the night will be announced in Term 3.
