Equestrians represent Northern Beaches Christian School

The NBCS Equestrian team have been very busy the last couple of months competing in two Interschools competitions.

During the Easter holidays Kyah and her horse Billy, Lola and her horse Ben, along with Eva and her horse Zazu, competed in the State Interschools Championships at SIEC, with the following achievements.

• Kyah placed 8th and 11th in her dressage tests and 12th in her combined training
• Lola competed in the showjumping and finished 6th and 7th; and
• Eva placed 5th and received a ribbon in dressage.

The NBCS team went on to compete at the North West Expo at Coonabarabran in May with Paige and her horse Flash, Maddy and her horse Ben, along with Skyla and her horse Holly joining the team.

Congratulations on their amazing achievements:

• Kyah who won the 95cm combined training
• Paige who came 2nd in Eventing 65cm
• Maddy who came 8th in team hunt and received a ribbon for hacking; and
• Skyla who finished 9th in team penning.

Thank you to the parents who support these girls in pursuing their dreams. They are incredibly fortunate to have these opportunities, as is our school, with a growing team who represent our school with pride. We look forward to seeing this team grow in confidence, skill and character in the coming years.
